Inspired by another travel icon Pam Ann herself, Satay Away is a lifestyle blog that primarily revolves around airline and hotel reviews.

Previously known as Satay Onboard, the author, whose digital presence is under the guise of ponyboi, was sipping Krug Grande Cuvée out of a plastic cup at the Admirals Club in Miami when he spotted Pam Ann. After a few exchanges, he was suddenly enlightened when Pam Ann mistook the blog name as “Satay Away! Like sashay away?”.

The nostalgia behind Satay Away is a reflection upon the first time when ponyboi, then 15, flew in international business class aboard a Singapore Airlines A380 from JFK to Frankfurt. He was served the Southeast Asian classic as an amuse-bouche. While he’s since traveled far and wide, he holds the satay as the epitome of premium travel.
