Enroute:

For our overnight stay in Vienna, I booked us the Imperial Riding School, simply because it was the newest Marriott in town.

Check-in:

My first impression of the hotel was positive. The lobby was bright and well appointed. Everything felt clean and new, as you’d expect from a hotel that’s only months old.

We had a smooth check-in and went on our way. I was truly amazed by how deep the corridors at this hotel were. Like am I in the Matrix?

Unpack:

We booked the basic deluxe king room and received exactly that. There was a compact bathroom immediately to the left.

Opposite from the bathroom was a small closet.

The rest of the room consisted of a king bed, a small seating area, as well as a desk and a credenza.

The room faced the S-Bahn. Fortunately, noise level was minimal.

Unwind:

The hotel was equipped with both gym and pool. We sadly didn’t have time to check them out.

Refuel:

We had breakfast the next morning at the Elstar restaurant.

We sat in the covered porch area of the restaurant. The offering was standard European hotel fare, with eggs made to order. It was nothing more than sustenance. The restaurant was pretty crowded, so service was quite slow.

Depart:

I don’t have much to say about this hotel given our short duration. It was a perfectly fine hotel for a short stay. If I come back for a proper visit to Vienna, I’d probably choose the Bristol, as it’s located closer to everything.
